My take on the madrigal, 21st-century style!
Blake's celebratory poem inspired me to write a joyful setting welcoming the future into our lives. Upper and lower voices trade off playfully syncopated settings of the word "merrily" with touches of chromaticism. The whole choir unites at the end in full-throated song.
